A Traditional Italian That Is a Cut Above the Rest
In a city that is overrun with run-of-the-mill Italian restaurants, a Tuscan-influenced menu with a touch more imagination than other restaurants in the category is what makes Gino Angelini’s restaurant stand above the pack. Hardly a temple of cuisine, the room is small, cramped and buzzy, and the casual environment makes it a good place for a family to dig into dishes like green lasagna with a veal ragù, or veal shank or pork leg that has been roasted in a wood-burning oven. A well-crafted wine list is a plus, although it is fair to describe the list as pricy. A few people commented that the restaurant has slipped a bit since Angelini opened up a second location, but most people still appreciate what is described as “real food at a fair price."If you would like to participate in OAD restaurant reviews, register now for the survey.
