Few chefs are as dedicated to their craft as Morihiro Onodera. Not only does he visit the Japanese market each morning to obtain the highest-quality fish, he grows and mills his own rice and even fabricates the ceramic plates and bowls he uses at the restaurant. With a pleasant personality and a good command of the English language, Mori opened this restaurant 10 years ago, after working for masters like Nobu and Yasuda in New York City. Take a seat at his counter and your feast will begin with freshly made tofu that's nearly as creamy as ice cream, followed by an array of the best of the Japanese fish market. The mostly glowing comments included "creative treatments and an excellent staff," "sublime, authentic experience" and "This is where many of the city's top chefs like to eat sushi on their days off."
