One of the best restaurants in the Philadelphia area happens to be located 35 miles from Center City. On its face, the food doesn't look much different from what you can order elsewhere, but the standards of the cooking are so high that dishes like a goat cheese soufflé with a mache salad and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette or a veal chop porterhouse with chanterelles, cognac and mustard taste quite a few steps up in quality. Surprisingly, it's not very well known, but close to 50% of the reviewers who navigated the back roads of Chester County to eat here used the word "outstanding." |
