While Atlanta has its fair share of Japanese restaurants, this nondescript storefront in Vinings is where you will find the city's top chefs eating sushi on their nights off. There are two reasons for the pilgrimage: Much of the fish that Tomohiro Naito serves is flown in from Tokyo, and Naito worked at Nobu's Las Vegas outpost before he opened this restaurant; Matsuhisa's influence can be seen in fusion dishes like Tomo Shrimp Stix (shrimp, asparagus and shiso wrapped in a spring roll skin and fried). "One of those extraordinary places" is how one reviewer described it, adding, "Thank goodness they are located in a suburban strip mall - otherwise I probably couldn't afford their excellent, fresh food."
