The Mansion has gone through some changes over the past few years. Dean Fearing, who oversaw the kitchen for two decades, decided it was time to move on four years ago. Enter Bruno Davaillon (formerly of Mix in Las Vegas), who tilted the menu in the direction of Europe with dishes like a sweet corn ravioli with a shrimp Bolognese sauce or confit and breast of duck with foie gras and a potato mousseline. Of course, Davaillon didn't completely discard tradition, and he still serves the signature tortilla soup. It all happens in a setting described as "the epitome of North Dallas elegance," which makes it "a popular stop with the ladies-who-lunch crowd." |
