The menu of this wonderful little restaurant in New Orleans’ Uptown neighborhood is so lyrical someone should set it to music. Among the listed dishes are corn-fried Louisiana oysters with southern cole slaw and New Orleans remoulade; Abita braised beef short ribs served over goat cheese–thyme grits with brown butter sautéed brussels sprouts and a spiced Bourbon demi-glace; and Louisiana Gulf flounder with shrimp and mirliton stuffing served over chorizo risotto and topped with lemon-thyme beurre blanc. Fortunately, reading the menu isn’t the only thing that will make you tap your foot. Reviewers call it “delicious” and a “great neighborhood joint.” No wonder there is usually a long line to get in. |
