There was a time when St. Louis residents looking for sophisticated dining had to travel out of town. But that changed when Kevin Nashan opened this restaurant, and 12 years later, this is where you can find the city's establishment having dinner. But despite his success, Nashan refused to rest on his laurels. In recent years he has started a charcuterie program and has built a garden using the space that rings the restaurant's parking lot. The result is dishes like a crab corn cake with peppers, onions and jalapeno cream sauce or pecan-encrusted rabbit with basil sausage and roasted root vegetables. It's common to read comments like "In the decade plus that we have been customers, the food has been consistently excellent. The old favorites mixed with the new items make it hard to decide what to choose." |
