This is easily the best Thai restaurant in New York - and along with places like Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas and Jitlada in Los Angeles, a contender for the best in the country. People from every part of the city regularly ride the subway out to Woodside for the delicious soups, noodle dishes and vast assortment of curries along with pastries from an on-premises bakery. One reviewer opined that what sets SriPraPhai apart is "a menu with tons of choices where they aren't using the same five sauces over and over again." No wonder the place is always jammed with a combination of Thai nationals, hipsters and foodies who are searching for the perfect bowl of tom yum. The legendary banana sticky rice has been known to cool a palate that has been exposed to the most incendiary of dishes.
