This is one of this those ethnic restaurants with a cult following that swears, "It lives up to its hype." The list of must-eat dishes is long: coconut, lotus and red snapper soup; crispy Morning Glory salad; soft-shell crabs with mangoes; green curry with frogs' legs; and Crying Tiger pork are but some of the dishes that seem to be on every single table in the restaurant. One reviewer said it "tastes like Thai food in Thailand that was cooked by Thai people with Thai ingredients." Diners are advised to discuss spicing with their servers as "levels can range from timid to injurious." It's one of the few ethnic restaurants in the city where you stand a good chance to spot celebs, though in this instance rockers instead of movie stars. |
