If you happen to be travelling North on A1A from Miami Beach and you have already passed Sunny Isles, the odds of finding a good meal are slim. But if you can hang on for another 20 miles you will come upon 3030 Ocean, which might be the best restaurant until you get to Palm Beach. New American seafood is the thing here. Chef Dean Max’s kitchen turns out dishes like roasted Florida snapper with boniato purée, grilled green onions and a carrot cumin sauce and the house signature dish, crispy Lauderdale wahoo tempura with Japanese rice, pickled cucumber and chile sesame aioli.
