Set in a 100-year-old stone building on a St. Helena side street, Terra has historically received raves. But it opened at a time when the dining options in the Wine Country were more limited than they are today, and now, facing more competition and with another restaurant to run in San Francisco, Hiro Sone and Lissa Doumani are receiving more mixed reviews. As one long-term customer summarized it: "Still good, but it has lost a bit of focus since they opened Ame." Sone's cuisine combines Asian and Mediterranean styles, and his menu ranges from dishes like Kampachi carpaccio with hijiki, cucumber, radish and ponzu to a grilled Kurobuta pork chop with broccoli di'Ciccio and ricotta gnocchi.
