"It's the burger, stupid!" No, James Carville hasn't become a restaurant critic; that's just our way of telling you that more than half the people who rated this restaurant recommended it for the famous db burger (filled with braised short ribs and black truffle) alone. It's "a true New York signature dish," according to one reviewer, who has "been there several times but never ordered anything other than the burger." We did get a more adventurous soul to admit that "the other food - bacon-veiled salmon with gnocchi, brussels sprouts and trompette mushrooms - is pretty tasty, too." The restaurant fills a niche in the culinary no-man's-land between Grand Central Terminal and the Theater District. |
