Barbara Lynch does a complete 180° from her seafood-centric menu at her famed B&G Oysters, directly across the street (see above), and puts the emphasis on various cuts and preparations of meat at this casual bistro/trattoria. She makes her own terrines and sausages, and the rest of the menu features fare like farfalle Bolognese, Painted Hill bone-in rib eye or a Heritage pork chop served with spiced apples. The produce comes from her small greengrocery next door. The 100-plus-bottle wine list focuses on artisanal producers, and a butcher shop on the premises means you can take home the same charcuterie and meats they serve at the restaurant |
