The word of mouth diminished after Resto's original chef Ryan Skeen left, but successor Bobby Hellen is beginning to attract attention for his meat-intensive Belgian cooking. In addition to house-made charcuterie and specialties like roasted halibut with chestnut spaetzle and short ribs carbonnade, a "terrific list of Belgian beers" helps you wash it all down. The "superb côte de boeuf" and poularde that Hellen sources from Four Story Hill Farms are among the most satisfying meat dishes in the city. |
