You have to tip your hat to Anita Lo. For years, her mix of French, Asian and Mediterranean cuisines kept this intimate dining room filled. But in 2009, it was destroyed in a fire. Undeterred, Lo rebuilt her beloved restaurant, and it’s been one of the best spots to dine in the city ever since. Lo’s menu still offers her signature dish, Shanghai soup dumplings stuffed with seared foie gras, along with entrées like broiled Spanish mackerel with garlic fried milk, satsumaimo and Korean chili, or Australian lamb with chickpeas, harissa and black sesame. Another nice touch is a wine list exclusively featuring the labels of female winemakers. The dining room is small and intimate; one reviewer told us, “I always recommend Annisa to ousst-of-town guests who are looking for a calm and civilized dining experience
