Named after the autostrada that stretches from Naples to Canosa, Liza Shaw presents you with a menu featuring snapshots of the food you'd find along that route. Included among the offerings are some of the best wood-burning-oven pizzas in the city, house-cured meats like bresaola and coppa di testa, and pastas like the signature ricotta gnocchi. Shelley Lindgren's 500-bottle list, which specializes in unusual offerings from a region that extends from Rome all the way to Sicily, allows for perfect pairings with the food. While it's been a favorite with locals ever since it opened, its tables became even more scarce after its original chef, Nate Appleman, won the James Beard Award.
