There's a preference for the raw over the cooked at this hip little seafood bar. Order the crudo platter and you get to taste one of everything. But the dishes reviewers mentioned most often were butterfish with a quail egg, Arctic char with creamy horseradish and wasabi tobiko and scallops with a fava bean purée. "About as fresh as fish gets in this city" is the way one person described the quality, although he quickly added, "which isn't all that difficult considering that we're talking about San Francisco." A "relaxed atmosphere" and an "interesting beer list" make this small restaurant above the Stockton tunnel all the more appealing. |
