RESTAURANT REVIEW
Mateo Granados has put his training at some of San Francisco’s top restaurants to good use at this place that is a short walk from the Healdsburg Town Square. The bar is typically filled with second-generation Mexicans enjoying olive oil guacamole, empanadas stuffed with Preston lamb and tacos filled with rock cod crusted in Hopi vegetables, and washing them down with tequila-based bebidas. The back room is more of a serious restaurant, and if you’re lucky, the house special of monkeyface eel and mussels, slow-cooked in a spicy Mexican-style tomato sauce, will be on the menu.
