If you want to knock back some oysters and an ice-cold beer before rushing off to your next appointment, head on over to this Bourbon Street institution where they have been shucking them by the dozen since 1910. The cooked fare includes classics like étouffée, jambalaya and gumbo, as well all sorts of fried seafood dishes, which are served either on a platter or in a po-boy, with bread from Gambino's Bakery. While it's calm during the week, weekends means "lengthy lines that often reach around the block" of both tourists and locals alike.
