Each city has an old-school New York-style deli: Katz's in NYC, Famous Fourth Street Deli in Philly, Attman's in Baltimore, Langer's in L.A. and Shapiro's in Indianapolis. In Chicago the place of choice is Manny's, where the corned beef sandwiches are "huge" and the potato pancakes are "to die for." Like the other delis mentioned, it always seems to be full of the unusual mix of characters that frequent this type of place, which in this instance includes "everyone from the mayor to truck drivers on their lunch break grabbing a fat sandwich."
